Bookmakers top 6 payers are pretty much those that you would expect to be in contention as there have been no teams bringing in strikers of a high enough quality to challenge.

Regulars top scorers in the Premier League - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, who all scored 22 goals, are once again amongst the bookmakers favourites.

Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling, who both seem to be scoreing goals for fun in recent seasons are also in the top challengers in the Premier League Top Goalscorer market.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane is the bookmaker’s front-runner to be the Premier League's Top Goalscorer as the Golden Boy of English football has already won the title twice.

He scored the most goals in in 2015/16 and again in 2016/17, and will be determined to secure his 3rd top goalscorer title after last seasons poor return due to injury.

Kane only put 17 goals in the back of the net for Spurs, while he also had 4 assists, however his performance wasn’t as strong as the previous season when he scored 30 goals.

The Spurs forward is, without question, one of the best players in the Premier League, and is in great form coming into the competition and could very well surpass his record tally.

Mo Salah

Mo Salah had a spectacular start to his career at Liverpool, taking the Top Goalscorer title in 2017-18, and sharing the top spot last season with 2 other players.

He won his first title with 32 goals, while last season he bagged 22 goals alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sadio Mane, and had an impressive 62% of shots on target.

Based on his performance for Liverpool so far, and Liverpool’s improvement last season, there could be a lot more scoring opportunities created, and Salah may beat his 32 goal tally.

Liverpool have a pretty unchallenging run of opening fixtures, and Salah could easily have a strong start to his Golden Boot challenge, in a bid to secure his 3rd consecutive title.

Sergio Aguero

As the reigning champions begin their campaign to capture a 3rd consecutive Premier League title, there are high expectations that Sergio Aguero could be one of the top goalscorers.

Aguero took the title back in 2014/15, and has constantly finished as one of the top 4 scorers across the past 6 Premier League seasons that he's competed in.

The Argentinian is one of the best strikers in the tournament, and with 21 goals and 8 assists under his belt last season, we can anticipate even better things this season.

There are some strong opponents in the competition, but Man City look unstoppable as a team, and with their drive to succeed, that can only mean more opportunities for Aguero to score.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Arsenal striker has had a couple of fantastic seasons since his move from Borussia Dortmund, and it’s easy to see why bookmakers offer him as a contender for the Golden Boot.

In the 2017-18 season, Aubameyang bagged 10 goals in his first 13 appearances, and then went on to share the title of Premier League Top Goalscorer last season with Salah and Mane.

Arsenal look good coming into the new Premier League season, and if Unai Emery’s men create enough chances for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he could be a serious contender.

He has a sterling reputation as a top scorer wherever he's played and with new signing Pepe to supply the assists, we expect to see great things from Aubameyang this season.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling is Man City’s second attack-minded player to feature in the top 6 players that bookmakers offer as favourites for the Top Goalscorer for the new Premier League season.

Sterling has improved season after season, securing 17 goals and 10 assists in the latest 2018-19 Premier League season, with a fantastic 71% shots on target.

He's also finished in the top 6 goalscorers for each of the past 2 Premier League seasons and looks in superb form ahead of Man City’s first match against West Ham.

If the 24 year old continues to develop and improve, he could definitely be one of the most formidable challengers for the title of the Premier League's Top Goalscorer.

Sadio Mane

Mane had a sensational season for Liverpool in 2018-19, resulting in a joint top goalscorer position alongside fellow team mate Mo Salah as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Having scored 22 goals in the Premier League for Liverpool, he also became only the fifth Liverpool player to score in six consecutive home Premier League appearances.

Mane has improved every season since joining Liverpool, and yet again, great things are expected from the Senegal national coming into the new season.

Liverpool look strong, and with the talent in midfield to create scoring opportunities, Sadio Mane could surprise us all and be crowned Top Goalscorer for the first time in his career.

While bookmakers have decided their favourites for Premier League's golden boot, there may just be a player that surprises everyone and scores a ton of goals like Salah did last year.

The Liverpool player may have just won the title in 2017-18, but after a stellar performance in Russia, Harry Kane who came second last season, is currently bookmakers 2nd favourite.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will also be looking to make his mark after joining the Premier League mid-season, with Man City's Sergio Aguero also a strong contender as usual.

Bookmakers decided long ago who their favourites are to be crowned Premier League Top Scorer, and while there aren’t too many new faces, there's plenty of competition.

In the lead up to the first game, we've taken a look at the top 6 players that British Bookmakers deem as favourites to be the Premier League's Top Goalscorer at the end of the season.

Sergio Aguero

Aguero is without a doubt, one of the Premier League's top strikers and sure knows how to put the ball in the back of the net having scored over 200 goals for Man City.

Last season saw Aguero take 3rd place in the race be top goalscorer, with an average of a goal scored every 94 minutes, which was the second best in the Premier League.

Not only did he score 21 goals in 25 Premier League appearances last season, but the Argentinian scored a total of 30 across all competitions for last seasons winners.

Aguero made his mark in Russia, scoring 2 goals for Argentina and has already bagged 2 goals this season in the Community Shield that saw Man City beat Chelsea.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane's the golden boy of English football, and has previously been the Premier League’s top goalscorer before, is the bookmakers favourite to take the title this season.

The Spurs striker finished last seasons Premier League in second place, just 2 goals behind the top scorer Mo Salah, and will be looking to go one better this season.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and after a fantastic performance in Russia that saw him score 6 goals, it’s no wonder he’s expected to be up there this time round.

Kane has continually increased his goal tally each season, and will be looking to increase the 30 Premier league goals, and 41 goals across all competitions that he netted for Spurs in 2017-18.

Mohamed Salah

In his first season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah took out the coveted Top Goalscorer title, and is yet again one of the top contenders to score the most goals this season.

Salah netted an incredible 32 goals from his 36 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season, and a total of 44 goals across all competitions.

Salah represented Egypt in WC 2018, and managed to score 2 goals in 2 matches for his national team but he was never in the running to win the Golden Boot.

There's some tough competition for his trophy this season, but Salah is without a doubt one of the front-runners and could easily take the title for a second consecutive season if on form.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January, and had quite an impressive start to his Arsenal career, scoring 10 goals in the 13 appearances following the move.

Aubameyang will be determined todo well in his first full season, and given his reputation as a natural goalscorer, its easy to see why bookmakers offer him as one of the top 6 contenders.

Having already scored 21 goals for Borussia Dortmund before his move last season, and adding another 10 at Arsenal, Aubameyang’s total was actually less than the previous season.

Now that he’s settled at Arsenal though, we should see great things from this talented striker.

Romelu Lukaku

Following his move from Everton to Man Utd at the start of the last season, Romelu Lukaku ended his first season as the Premier League's 6th top goalscorer.

Lukaku may be the 10th-most expensive striker, however the Man Utd forward made his mark, scoring 16 Premier League goals last season and 27 in total for his new club.

As Belgium’s all-time record goalscorer, Lukaku has scored 40 goals for his country, and was also one of the top scorers in WC 2018, netting 4 goals for Belgium in Russia.

Gabriel Jesus

The other player that bookmakers offer as one of the top 6 contenders for the 2018-19 Premier League top goalscorer title is Man City forward Gabriel Jesus.

He finished in the top 10 scorers last season and although Jesus had a disappointing W. Cup for Brazil with 5 goalless appearances, Pep Guardiola is confident that he do well this season.

Despite being injured for a substantial number of games, Jesus managed to score 13 Premier League goals last season and is definitely one to watch in 2018-19.
