Chelsea v Man Utd: Preview

Man Utd travel to Stamford Bridge this Sunday, to face Chelsea in one of the biggest games of this weekend’s Premier League action.

Currently bookmakers offer Chelsea as the favourites to win the match, but odds are pretty short on both teams which suggests it’s set to be a close game.

Mourinho‘s Man Utd squad won the last time these 2 teams met back in April, however Chelsea hadn’t lost to Man Utd in 8 previous Premier League games.

While Chelsea have the home advantage this time, Man Utd have been playing to a much higher standard so far this season, and could easily take the 3 points on Sunday.

Whichever team you’re betting on, check out bookmakers best odds for Chelsea v Man Utd below before betting on this monster clash!

Chelsea started the season well but then went on to lose a couple of key games which sees them sitting in 4th place on 19 points a quarter of the way through the campaign.

Luckily Antonio Conte’s men seem to be returning to form, resulting in victories over Bournemouth and Watford in their last 2 outings.

Man Utd won’t be easy to beat, especially after they prevented Spurs from scoring last week, but if Chelsea play well, they could secure all 3 points.

When it comes to injuries, Chelsea don’t have too many to contend with - unlike Man Utd.

Victor Moses is still ruled out with no return date in sight, but N'Golo Kanté is back in contention having recovered from his hamstring injury.

Man Utd come into Sunday’s game sitting in 2nd place, just 5 points below the league leaders Man City and 4 points clear of Chelsea.

With games against Brighton, Newcastle and Watford coming up, a win for Mourinho would put Man Utd in a much better position to make a strong challenge for the top spot.

Fortunately Man Utd regained their form last weekend when they beat 3rd place Spurs, after a shocking defeat to Huddersfield the previous weekend.

Unfortunately Mourinho still has quite a list of injured players, with Fellaini, Carrick, Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Rojo all set to miss the journey to Stamford Bridge.

Bookmakers are calling it as a pretty close game, and it’s not going to be an easy win for either team, but Man Utd leave Stamford Bridge with a victory if they remain focused.

Best Odds On A Draw: 9/4

If you're betting on neither team doing enough to win, Betfred.com offers best odds at 9/4 as well as a 'bet £10, get £30' deal for new signups.

A draw might be on the cards as 3 of the last 6 Premier League games between these 2 teams have ended all square and bookmakers odds are actually quite good on another stalemate.
