Spurs v Liverpool: Betting Preview

Spurs host Liverpool at Wembley this Sunday, when Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to claim their second home Premier League win of the season.

Liverpool not have lost to Spurs in the Premier League since 2012, but you’ll find online bookmakers offer Spurs as slight favourites to win this clash.

Liverpool's form has been sketchy this season, having won games in which they weren't favourites, and failing to win games that they were expected to win.

Both teams have some great players in good form, and while Spurs are just favourites, Liverpool will be confident of at least drawing based on their track record against them.

You can watch Spurs v Liverpool live on Sky Sports at 16:00 on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs are in good form, having held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night, and winning their first home game at Wembley last weekend against Bournemouth.

They come into this game sitting in 3rd place, just 5 points behind league leaders Man City.

Spurs have a couple of big games coming up against Man Utd and Arsenal, and 3 points at home against Liverpool would be very welcome at this stage of the season.

There are a few injury worries for Spurs, with Ben Davies and Mousa Dembele still sidelined, while Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela aren’t expected back for a few weeks.

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou could also miss the game after suffering a concussion, but luckily Danny Rose should be back in contention for Sunday’s game.

Liverpool's Best Odds: 5/2

If you’re betting on Liverpool coming away from Wembley with a win, Betfred.com offers the best odds at 5/2 plus a 'bet £10, get £30 in bonus bets' deal for new customers.

Jürgen Klopp’s men are currently sitting in 8th place on 13 points, following a dismal 0-0 draw at home against Man Utd last Saturday!

While Liverpool’s form has improved as the season's gone on, they’ve still only managed to secure draws from their last 2 Premier League outings.

They did smash Maribor 7-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and so will be feeling confident coming into the match against Spurs.

The good news for Klopp is that there aren’t any fresh injury concerns to worry about, although Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana are still missing from the line up.

Liverpool may not have lost to Spurs in 5 years, but they'll need to be good defensively to keep the likes of Kane, Ali and Eriksen at bay on Sunday afternoon.

Best Odds On A Draw: 13/5

If you're betting on neither team doing enough to win, Ladbrokes.com offers best odds on a draw at 13/5.

Looking at bookmakers odds, it appears that they think it's going to be a close game.

Liverpool may have won the last time they played Spurs, however 3 of the last 4 games have ended in draws, and so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Sunday’s game ended with the same result.
