Mayweather v McGregor: Price Boosts

If you're going to be betting on the fight of the decade, take a look at some of the amazing price boosts that bookmakers are offering anyone that signs up for a new account:

Mayweather v McGregor: Preview

The undefeated Floyd Mayweather and two-weight UFC world champion Conor McGregor face off on Sunday in a bout that's set to become the highest grossing fight in history.

Conor McGregor received a boost recently after it emerged that the NAC approved a drop in the glove size from 10oz to 8oz which are normally reserved for lighter fighters.

"I don't believe with the new gloves he makes it out of the second round,“ Conor McGregor boasted after the decision was made by The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).

Despite this announcement, Mayweather is still the bookmakers overwhelming favourite to win despite McGregor claiming that the new size means he'll knock Mayweather out in 2 rounds.

It's no surprise as Mayweather boasts a flawless record of 49 wins and 0 losses, while McGregor hasn't boxed competitively since he was 16 and All-Ireland champion at youth level.

Both are unpredictable, and while they each have their own distinctive styles, Mayweather is one of the best defensive fighters of all time and should keep McGregor at bay.

Mayweather v McGregor is also all set be the most valuable fight of all-time with PPV sales in excess of $475 and bookmakers taking more bets on it than any other fight in history.

The fight's set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas early on Sunday morning and can be viewed in the UK on Sky Sports Box Office for £19.95.

Mayweather's Best Odds: 1/4

If you’re betting on a Floyd Mayweather win, Ladbrokes.com offer the best odds at 1/4

This is Mayweather’s first fight since he retired in 2015, after an underwhelming victory over Andre Berto, but he is looking extremely fit and on course for his 50th straight victory.

While Mayweather is regarded as one of the best defensive boxers, the decision to box in 8oz gloves could prove a disadvantage for his ongoing brittle hand issues.

Over the year’s, many boxers have tried to beat Floyd Mayweather but he remains undefeated with one more victory required to surpass of Rocky Marciano, who retired with a 49-0 run.

Luckily this clash is under boxing rules, which could prove challenging for McGregor and give Mayweather a stronger advantage, especially if he brings the fight to Conor.

Mayweather has been the favourite from the get-go, however odds have dramatically shortened over the past few days, so bet now before bookmakers drop them further.

McGregor's Best Odds: 4/1

If you’re betting on Conor McGregor inflicting Mayweather's first defeat, Ladbrokes.com offer the best odds at 4/1 plus a 'bet £20, get refunded if you lose' deal for new signups.

Conor McGregor is known for his bravado as much as his crushing striking power in the UFC.

This will be McGregor’s first professional boxing match, having only recently received his boxing license, and the showman will be a different competitor than Mayweather's used to.

Although bookmakers offer Mayweather as the favourite, if McGregor can get in early with a punch to the chin, it could unsettle the usually defensive Mayweather.

McGregor has shown immense talent in the world of UFC, but he'll be up against a different type of fighter when he steps into the boxing ring against Mayweather.

With so much at stake for McGregor, it will be exciting to see if he can beat one of the best boxers of all time, or if Mayweather’s defensive tactics will shut McGregor out.

If the fight does go the distance, despite McGregor having youth on his side, Mayweathers superior boxing ability should see him through to a decision win.

Best Odds on a Draw: 50/1

It's highly unlikely, but if you're betting on the fight ending in a draw, 888sport.com offer the best odds at 50/1 as well as a 'bet £10, get a £40 bonus' deal for new signups.
