The first major boxing clash of 2018 takes place this Saturday, when the current World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua takes on WBA and IBF title holder Joseph Parker.

Both of the unbeaten heavyweights put their World Title belts on the line in this winner-takes-all fight, with bookmakers offering British Superstar Joshua as the firm favourite to win.

As expected, there has been some hostility in the press conferences leading up to the fight, with both Joshua and Parker talking themselves up to the max.

Joshua has been promising to put Parker on the canvas like his previous 20 opponents, while Parker reckons that one clean hit is all it will take to secure him another victory.

This is set to be one of the most exciting bouts in quite a while, and although bookmakers offer Joshua as the expected winner, it will be one hell of a clash to watch.

Olympic gold medalist and current World Champion Joshua, is unbeaten in 20 fights since turning professional, and will be determined to continue his unbeaten run on Saturday night.

In April, Joshua delivered the performance of his career to add the WBA title to his IBF crown, when he secured a captivating win against Wladimir Klitschko.

While he has the height advantage over Parker, he’ll need to ensure that he keeps his focus and control, after appearing quite angry and on edge in the press conference earlier in the week.

Coach Rob McCracken has been working on a more technical approach rather than depending on his usual heavy handed winning style, and will be hoping this helps him retain his title.
