There have also been some spectacular upsets on day 1 as Stan Wawrinka was knocked out by Daniil Medvedev, while Nick Kyrgios retired due to a hip injury.

The 2017 Wimbledon tournament runs through until Sunday 16th July, when the Men’s singles finals take place on centre court.

We've taken a look at the favourites for the Mens tournament, alongside which bookmakers offer the best odds and the signup offers you could claim.

Roger Federer - 9/4

Roger Federer is without a doubt the bookmakers favourite coming into the start of the tournament. The 7 times Wimbledon champion has had a strong season, having won The Australian Open earlier in the year.

Even though Federer is 35, a lot older than most competitors, there’s no way you should rule him out of another Wimbledon victory.

Coral.co.uk offer the best odds on Federer winning Wimbledon at 9/4 as well as a 'bet £5, get £20 in free bets' deal for new signups. Check out Coral's signup offer.

Rafael Nadal - 4/1

Nadal may have had a couple of turbulent years, but the Spaniard looks to be back on form, having secured a 2017 French Open win and making it to the final of the Australian Open.

Although Nadal hasn’t made it to a Wimbledon final since 2011, he’s a very strong contender based on his performance so far this year.

If you’re betting on Nadal to win, Bet365.com offer the best odds at 4/1.

Novak Djokovic - 5/1

Three times Wimbledon winner, Novak Djokovic is another top contender with most bookmakers to take the 2017 Wimbledon Men's single trophy.

He hasn’t been as strong this year, after suffering a 6-0 loss in The French Open, but the Serbian is still one of the best players and could easily take a 4th Wimbledon victory.

If you’re betting on Djokovic, SportingBet.com offer the best odds at 5/1 as well as a '£50 in free bets' deal for new signups. Check out SportingBet's signup offer.

Andy Murray - 11/2

Defending champion Andy Murray is also one of the bookmakers favourites to do well on his home turf. Murray had been struggling with injuries, but has been working hard to overcome them, and had a fantastic victory over Alexander Bublik to sail through to the 2nd round.

Ladbrokes.com offer the best odds on the 2 times champion to win at 11/2, but odds are shortening on Murray so you’ll need to get in early to get the best return on your stake.

The Ladbrokes signup offer is a straightforward 'bet £50, get £50 in free bets' deal.

Marin Cilic - 16/1

Croatian Marin Cilic is the other top runner to contend for the 2017 Wimbledon men’s trophy.

Although he has never made it past the quarter-finals in the completion, bookmakers odds are good given that he won the 2014 US Open, and do well at Wimbledon.

WilliamHill.com offer the best odds on Cilic at 16/1, and while he may be more of an outsider compared to the top 4, he is a solid player that could surprise a few bookmakers.

The William Hill signup offer for new members is a 'bet £10, get £30 in free bets' deal.

As always, bookmakers are offering lots of great betting offers and price boosts for Wimbledon.
